Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Smith (ranked 24674 p4p, 3909 weight class) and Antonio Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gonzalez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gonzalez.
Smith pushes Gonzalez away with a front kick.
Gonzalez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Gonzalez moves out of range easily.
Gonzalez moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Gonzalez fails with a takedown attempt.
Smith lands a body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gonzalez.

Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Smith scores with a decent looking hook.
Gonzalez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gonzalez scrambles back to his feet.
Smith lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Gonzalez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A slapping leg kick lands for Smith.
Gonzalez walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Smith checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Smith seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nice uppercut there from Smith.
That kick from Smith tenderised Gonzalez's leg. Gonzalez is trying to keep his angry face on.
Smith looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Smith throws a good cross that connects.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gonzalez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Gonzalez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.
Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Gonzalez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gonzalez.
Smith thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gonzalez if he has to take too many more of those.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Smith cracks Gonzalez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Gonzalez dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Gonzalez's head and hops out.
It looked like Smith was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gonzalez doesn't seem bothered though.
Gonzalez has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Smith lets loose with a powerful body kick. Gonzalez will feel that in the morning.
Smith lands a left and a right that send Gonzalez crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith lunges at Gonzalez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gonzalez's hand.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Gonzalez has eaten all the pies!
Smith jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gonzalez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gonzalez has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Smith.
Smith digs a good body shot into Gonzalez's ribs.
Smith throws a good cross that connects.
Gonzalez takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Smith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gonzalez's head.
Smith connects with a nice looking jab.
Gonzalez is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith connects with a combination that backs up Gonzalez into the cage. Smith lands a flurry of punches that gets past Gonzalez's guard. Gonzalez is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Smith bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
