Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Carlos (ranked 956 p4p, 845 weight class) and Peguero Jean Philippe (ranked 134 p4p, 119 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Philippe's choice of entrance music: Chant vaudou haitien. Peguero Jean Philippe told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlos connects with a jab.
Philippe lands with a right hand.
Carlos throws the kick towards the body but Philippe avoids it.
Carlos misses with a kick to the body.
Carlos misses with a wild body shot.
Philippe is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Carlos with a body shot.
Carlos misses with an uppercut.
Carlos misses with a wild body shot.
Carlos misses with a hook.
Carlos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Philippe was well out of range. Poor timing from Carlos.

Jab, jab by Carlos - just one landing.
Philippe swings widly with a right hand
and Philippe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Philippe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Carlos's head backwards.
Carlos throws a predictable looking body shot
and Philippe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Juan Carlos has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Philippe scores with a punch to the head.
Carlos walks into a jab.

Carlos is rocked!
Carlos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Philippe pinned against the cage. Philippe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Philippe throws a looping overhand right but Carlos ducks down to avoid it.
Jab by Carlos.
A solid leg kick lands there for Carlos.
Philippe has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Philippe scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Oh Carlos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Peguero Jean Philippe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Philippe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Carlos switches off momentarily and Philippe cracks him with a monster right hand! Carlos topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Philippe dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Philippe!
