The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentina fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Zvezda shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Valentina defends it nicely.

Zvezda drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Zvezda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Valentina manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zvezda manages to get himself to full guard.
