Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Allen (ranked 24488 p4p, 4485 weight class) and Bob Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Killer has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jackson Allen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Killer!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Allen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Killer somewhat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Allen, as that shot connected.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Allen.

Killer is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Allen's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Killer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Killer wants to take a breather but Allen is having none of it.
Killer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Allen defending well though.
Allen trying to hold on to Killer's head to control him but Killer postures up.
Killer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Allen tries to roll over but Killer keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Killer stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Horrible takedown attempt by Allen or perhaps it was just good defense by Killer, which made it look bad.
Killer wants to counter the offense by Allen and move into the clinch position.
Allen misses with a double jab.
Killer is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Allen scores with a one two! Killer had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Nice takedown defense from Allen. No joy for Killer on that attempt.
Allen moves in looking to clinch but Killer pushes him off.

Allen gets a clinch.

Allen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Killer is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Killer has Allen pressed against the cage.
Allen tries for a takedown but Killer manages to get underhooks.

Killer pulls guard successfully.
Killer will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Killer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Allen's guard.

Killer's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Killer is looking to work some ground and pound but Allen has wrist control.
Allen is breathing heavily.
Killer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like Killer might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Killer wants to get up but he can't break Allen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Killer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Killer wants to stand but Allen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Killer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Killer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Killer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Killer wants to control from the top but Allen keeps moving.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bob Killer will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Killer shoots in for a double leg but Allen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Killer takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Allen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Killer as he avoids it easily.
Killer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Allen clinches up against the cage.
Allen looking to slow down the pace here.

Killer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Allen uses from the top position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Killer has his foot on Allen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Allen works his way back into a safe position though.
Allen wants to control from the top but Killer keeps moving.

Killer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Killer wants to get back to his feet but Allen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Killer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Allen throws a series of punches but Killer avoids them all with ease.
Allen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Killer has a takedown stuffed.
Allen pushes Killer away with a front kick.
A head kick by Allen misses
and Killer counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Allen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Allen throws a sloppy head kick and Killer moves out of range easily.

Allen throws a wild body kick that Killer sees coming a mile off.
Allen looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jackson Allen is winning the standup battle so far.

Killer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Allen has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Killer has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Allen's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Killer drags the fight down to the ground.
Killer managing to control the position.
Allen is looking to work some ground and pound but Killer has wrist control.

Killer is pulling down on Allen's head to control his posture.

Allen has gone for a leg lock! Killer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Allen's guard.

Killer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Allen's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Killer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jackson Allen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Allen throws a head kick that Killer semi-blocks.

Allen tries to keep at a distance but Killer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Killer lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Killer has clasped his hands together around Allen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Killer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Allen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Killer is putting a hurting on Allen here, landing some big shots from side control.
Killer looks up at the clock and then as Allen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Killer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Allen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Killer controlling the position from side mount.

Killer tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Killer has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Killer looks up at the clock and then as Allen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Killer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Killer cracks Allen with a big right hand but Allen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Killer tries for a kimura but Allen is defending well.
Killer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Allen keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen being controlled for a moment.
Allen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Killer trying to control from half guard but Allen is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Killer is thwarting Allen's attempts to control the position.

Killer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Allen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Allen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Allen.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Killer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Allen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Killer is looking to work some ground and pound but Allen has wrist control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Killer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Killer trying to control the action but Allen is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Killer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Killer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
