PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Carlotos Spiteri (ranked 22160 p4p, 1497 weight class) and JoJo Diaz (ranked 204 p4p, 36 weight class). Spiteri comes into the arena with Day to day basis blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Diaz tries to clinch up but Spiteri circles away and keeps his distance.
Spiteri takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Spiteri lands a jab to the nose.
Spiteri throws an off balance right hand
enabling Diaz to counter with a crisp jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Diaz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Spiteri pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Diaz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Spiteri tries to keep at a distance but Diaz has taken the fight into the clinch.
Spiteri lands an elbow just above Diaz 's eye.
Spiteri fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Diaz swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Diaz prevents a body shot from Spiteri.

Spiteri can't find room to land a body shot as Diaz controls the action.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Spiteri just misses with a elbow thrown towards Diaz's brow.
Diaz misses with a body punch.
Spiteri creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Diaz's defenses.

It looks like JoJo Diaz has been cut.

Diaz is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Diaz dodges an elbow strike from Spiteri.
Diaz is trying to maintain a safe position but Spiteri gets an underhook and turns Diaz into the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

A short body shot lands from Spiteri as the two fighters clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Diaz - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Spiteri lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Spiteri lands a hook that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.
Diaz tries to work over Spiteri's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Spiteri unloads a knee to the mid-section. Diaz lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Spiteri as Diaz tries to tie him up.
Spiteri smacks Diaz right on the bridge of the nose with a massive elbow! Another one lands and Diaz goes down! He's clearly dazed - will he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7... up to one knee... 8,9,10! He's not made it! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Carlotos Spiteri thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
