The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutger closes the distance and pushes Plax back into the cage.
Rutger lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
It looks like Supa Plax has been cut.
Plax throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Plax taking a breather.
Plax throws a knee to the head but misses.
Still in the clinch, Rutger scores with a nice short uppercut.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rutger creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rutger dodges an elbow strike from Plax.
Rutger lands a shoulder strike.
Rutger stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Rutger lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Plax backwards.
Plax is rocked!
Rutger unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Plax! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rutger is unloading with more strikes now! Plax drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rufus Rutger!
A relieved looking Rufus Rutger thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
