Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Liber Lambart!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Soren Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambart buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hansen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Liber Lambart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lambart lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Soren Hansen has been cut.
Hansen with a poor takedown
and Lambart counters with a solid body kick.
Hansen tries to move into range but Lambart moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lambart was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Liber Lambart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Soren Hansen.
Hansen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lambart throws out a powerful jab.
Hansen is rocked!
Lambart drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Hansen's head, knocking him out cold! Lambart is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
