The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schneider slaps away a takedown attempt from Cortez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cortez fails with a takedown attempt.
Cortez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schneider swivels and escapes.
Don Schneider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Cortez.

Cortez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Schneider sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A punch lands to the side of Cortez 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Daniel Cortez has been cut.
Schneider throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Schneider looks to throw the jab but Cortez is out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cortez moves forwards but Schneider connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Schneider is stalking Cortez. Cortez circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Schneider, and it's lights out! Cortez really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
