Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gyukosho Fujimoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alborz Mumu!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mumu misses with a body punch
enabling Fujimoto to counter with a crisp jab.
Fujimoto connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mumu. Mumu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Fujimoto throws a right hand that misses
and Mumu counters with a stiff right hand.
Mumu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mumu looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've been informed that Mumu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Fujimoto throws a lazy right hand but Mumu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mumu raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mumu misses with a straight right.
Fujimoto looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mumu connects with a nice looking jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fujimoto throws a sloppy head kick and Mumu moves out of range easily.
Mumu swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Mumu gets a clinch.
Fujimoto is trying to push Mumu away but Mumu has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Fujimoto breaks from the clinch.
Fujimoto misses with an uppercut. Mumu saw that one coming.
Mumu fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nice defenses there by Fujimoto.
Fujimoto was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Mumu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Alborz Mumu has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mumu misses with a left hand
and Fujimoto counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Mumu is out cold! A devastating KO!
