Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Wright (ranked 3942 p4p, 4543 weight class) and Bheng Fokker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lincoln Wright has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lincoln Wright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bheng Fokker!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fokker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wright scrambles back to his feet.
Fokker throws a series of punches but Wright avoids them all with ease.
Fokker lands a really nice looking cross but Wright seems unphased.
Fokker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wright.
Wright drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fokker scores with a sloppy right hand. Wright should have avoided that one.
Wright misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wright throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wright fails with the takedown.
Fokker lands a lovely overhand right.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fokker.

Wright gets a double leg takedown into Fokker's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wright is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wright has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wright wants to get up but he can't break Fokker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Wright not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fokker looks to land a combination. Wright sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Wright goes for a double leg but Fokker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fokker continues to drive forward.

Wright misses with a short punch on the inside.
Fokker blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Fokker stops a takedown attempt from Wright.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lincoln Wright. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wright drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fokker gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Fokker is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Fokker can't break the clinch.

Wright escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fokker has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Wright is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fokker is aware though and is defending well.

Wright wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Wright wants to stand and escape but Fokker is having none of it.
Wright has Fokker pulled in close to control his posture.
Fokker won't allow Wright to sweep him here.
We've been informed that Fokker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Wright is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Wright is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fokker has managed to free his arm - good work.

Still in half guard, Wright seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fokker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wright.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lincoln Wright will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wright looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wright throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Wright takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fokker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fokker can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wright's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fokker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Wright lands a nice shot to the head.
Wright controlling the pace for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wright seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fokker for as long as he can get away with.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Wright.

Wright working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Fokker looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Wright! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Lincoln Wright!
