Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Perry Tevins (ranked 4093 p4p, 24082 weight class) and Takashi Yamabuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Takashi Yamabuki was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Yamabuki!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tevins clinches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Takashi Yamabuki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tevins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yamabuki napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Yamabuki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tevins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Perry Tevins will probably get the nod.

Tevins shoots for a double leg takedown but Yamabuki sprawls well. He's pushed Tevins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Yamabuki finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

A quick step to the side and Tevins tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tevins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yamabuki pinned against the cage. Yamabuki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Despite the aggression on Yamabuki's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Tevins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yamabuki but Yamabuki pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Yamabuki throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tevins.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yamabuki lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Yamabuki.

No joy there for Yamabuki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Tevins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yamabuki lands a head kick!
Tevins tries for a takedown but Yamabuki circles away easily
and Yamabuki counters with a left and a right... And another left! Tevins is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
