Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aslak Maitonaama (ranked 2523 p4p, 3779 weight class) and Daniel Silva (ranked 327 p4p, 431 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maitonaama throws a wild body kick that Silva sees coming a mile off.
Maitonaama leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Maitonaama lands a two punch combo.

Silva drives through and clinches with Maitonaama against the cage.
Maitonaama has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Maitonaama breaks the clinch.
Silva wants to clinch up but Maitonaama keeps it at a distance.
Maitonaama attempts a counter takedown but Silva avoids it well and moves away.
Maitonaama cracks Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Silva jumps guard and drags Maitonaama to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Maitonaama postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Maitonaama manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Maitonaama pushes him off.

Maitonaama circles away from the clinch attempt.

Maitonaama gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Maitonaama pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Silva tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Maitonaama defends well and Silva ends up having to push Maitonaama into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Maitonaama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Maitonaama counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Aslak Maitonaama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Silva.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Maitonaama was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maitonaama as he avoids it easily.

Silva rushes Maitonaama and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Silva drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Maitonaama gets the underhooks and prevents it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maitonaama avoids it really well and circles away.

Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maitonaama sprawls well. Maitonaama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Maitonaama swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.

Maitonaama connects with a combination that backs up Silva into the cage. Maitonaama lands a flurry of punches that gets past Silva's guard. Silva is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Maitonaama bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
