Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ariel Pérez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vu Viet Hu!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hu has his takedown stuffed
and Pérez counters with a nice uppercut.
Good standup being displayed there by Pérez as he connects with a hook.
Pérez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hu takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hu takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pérez lunges at Hu with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hu's hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hu shoots in and gets a takedown into Pérez's guard.

Hu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pérez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pérez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hu walks into a stiff left hand from Pérez.
Pérez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pérez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hu doesn't seem bothered though.
Hu seems to have recovered his senses.
Pérez cracks Hu with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hu looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pérez finish him?
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pérez lands a nice looking body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pérez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hu shoots for a takedown but Pérez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hu shoots in looking for a takedown. Pérez tries to sprawl out of it but Hu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pérez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Pérez counters with a crisp right hand that drops Hu! Pérez lets Hu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pérez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hu sprawling to the canvas! Hu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pérez finish him?!

Pérez lands an uppercut, right on the button! Hu tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ariel Pérez!
A relieved looking Ariel Pérez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
