Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Jacobson Jr (ranked 3143 p4p, 23892 weight class) and Michael Manchester (ranked 304 p4p, 432 weight class). Michael Manchester told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manchester with a poor takedown
and Jacobson Jr cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Manchester wants to clinch.
Jacobson Jr lands with a kick to the temple. Manchester shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jacobson Jr connects with a high kick.
Manchester takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Manchester tries to bum rush Jacobson Jr with a series of wild strikes but Jacobson Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jacobson Jr lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Manchester backs up against the cage.

Manchester is rocked!
Manchester closes the distance but Jacobson Jr moves to the side
and Jacobson Jr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Manchester is still on wobbly legs! Can Jacobson Jr finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manchester tries to clinch but Jacobson Jr is having none of it.
Jacobson Jr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jacobson Jr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jacobson Jr thinks about countering with a head kick.
Jacobson Jr shoots in but Manchester avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Manchester tries to counter with a clinch but Jacobson Jr shakes him off and moves away.

Manchester scores with a jab to the body.
Manchester shoots in for a takedown but Jacobson Jr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dylan Jacobson Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Manchester.

Jacobson Jr closes the distance and clinches.

Jacobson Jr has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Manchester is trying to keep an underhook but Jacobson Jr manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jacobson Jr in particular looking to stall.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Manchester can do anything to dispel that myth.
