Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Ramsay (ranked 4626 p4p, 5493 weight class) and Shawn Gordon (ranked 496 p4p, 537 weight class). Ramsay comes to the cage accompanied by God Save The Queen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramsay stuffs the takedown.
Ramsay throws a quick counter kick to the body but Gordon avoids it.
A head kick misses from Ramsay.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ramsay darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gordon fails with the takedown
and Ramsay connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ramsay pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ramsay dips to his left and cracks Gordon with an uppercut!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramsay fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gordon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ramsay lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gordon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gordon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Ramsay lands a leg kick that knocks Gordon off balance momentarily.
Gordon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ramsay can pounce on him.
Ramsay throws a quick inside leg kick.
A big left from Ramsay misses.
Ramsay feints and then cracks Gordon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gordon down.
Ramsay stuffs the takedown.
Ramsay fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gordon just manages to avoid it.
Gordon Ramsay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Gordon.
Ramsay fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gordon.
Gordon takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Gordon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ramsay's guard.
Gordon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Gordon throws a big elbow that misses.

Gordon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ramsay looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Gordon prevents Ramsay from getting back to his feet.

Gordon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gordon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ramsay keeping moving, preventing Gordon from controlling successfully.

Gordon wants to pass the guard but Ramsay is keeping the position.
Gordon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
