Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Selmir Emkić (ranked 5358 p4p, 4871 weight class) and Simon Slytherin (ranked 491 p4p, 471 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Selmir Emkić!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Slytherin!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emkić lands a lovely overhand right.
Slytherin connects with a body shot that sends Emkić's belly button to the back.
Slytherin looks to score with a jab to the body but Emkić is just out of range.
Emkić avoids a kick to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Emkić on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Slytherin tries to work over Emkić's front leg with a kick but Emkić checks it.
Emkić swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Emkić swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Slytherin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Emkić finds it's way round the side to connect with Slytherin's head.
We've been told by Emkić's head coaches at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Emkić misses with a straight left.
Emkić will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Slytherin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Emkić feints and then cracks Slytherin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Slytherin down.
Slytherin throws a right hand that Emkić ducks under and follows up with a left that Emkić also avoids with ease.
Emkić fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Slytherin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slytherin checks the leg kick.
Emkić misses with an uppercut
letting Slytherin counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Emkić throws a low kick but Slytherin moves out of range easily.
Slytherin lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
The fighters circling - Slytherin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Emkić thuds his right hand into Slytherin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
No joy there for Emkić, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Slytherin counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Emkić off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Slytherin follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Emkić was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Simon Slytherin!
