PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toga Reyes (ranked 4074 p4p, 2671 weight class) and Rocky Fortuna (ranked 155 p4p, 78 weight class). Fortuna has chosen Godfather Theme by Nino Rota as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rocky Fortuna is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocky Fortuna!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Fortuna misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reyes.
Reyes is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fortuna lands a body shot.
Reyes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fortuna moves away.
Reyes sets himself, and Fortuna steps forward looking for the clinch! Reyes avoids it this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reyes misses with a shot to the body

and Fortuna counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fortuna.

Fortuna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reyes misses with a wild body shot.
Reyes swings for the body but Fortuna moves out of range.
Fortuna tries to counter with a clinch but Reyes shakes him off and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reyes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fortuna comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fortuna looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fortuna lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Reyes at a distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Reyes. Fortuna does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reyes sets himself, and Fortuna steps forward looking for the clinch! Reyes avoids it this time.

Rocky Fortuna comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fortuna has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
