Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alan Gassway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Brett Cain enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain keeps the fight on the outside.

Cain scores a takedown into full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gassway defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cain.

Cain goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gassway is on top in guard.
Cain controls Gassway momentarily but Gassway frees himself.

Gassway avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gassway will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cain tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Cain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gassway won't allow Cain to sweep him here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gassway wants to stand but Cain has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gassway is breathing heavily.
Gassway wants to stand and escape but instead Cain has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Cain wants to control from the top but Gassway keeps moving.

Cain drops back looking for a leg! Gassway is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gassway manages to kick Cain off! Cain jumps back into Gassway's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cain drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cain jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cain is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gassway defends it well.

Cain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gassway looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Cain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gassway has escaped the position, nice work there.

Cain has an Americana. Gassway didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cain is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cain hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
