Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jak Mora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ulli Muhammad!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mora misses with a two punch combination.
Muhammad throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As Muhammad tries to get set, Mora tries to push him back and clinch up but Muhammad manages to avoid the attempt.
Muhammad blocks a jab.
Muhammad feints the counter takedown.
Mora looks for a takedown but Muhammad sprawls well.
Despite the aggression on Muhammad's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice takedown defense from Mora. No joy for Muhammad on that attempt.
Mora misses with a wild body shot.
Muhammad feints the counter takedown.

Muhammad forces Mora back against the cage and clinches.

Muhammad manages to break the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Muhammad has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Mora misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Muhammad counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Muhammad.

Muhammad is trying to trip Mora. He has hold of a leg but Mora is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Muhammad persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Mora pushes a forearm under Muhammad's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Muhammad is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jak Mora!
After the fight, Jak Mora was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
