Usman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Yaba Buluku. RaeRae Usman is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usman misses with a shot to the body
and Velderman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Usman misses with a jab to the body
and Usman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Usman misses with a left hand
and Velderman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Velderman moves into the clinch.
Velderman has a couple of punches blocked by Usman.
Velderman digs a right hand into Usman's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Usman's gas tank.

Usman tries to pull guard but Velderman forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Velderman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Usman jumps guard but Velderman stands there with Usman around his waist. Usman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Velderman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Still in the clinch, Velderman scores with a nice short uppercut.
Velderman misses with the head strike.
Velderman pushes Usman back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Usman manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Usman has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Velderman should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Usman has tightened it up now! Velderman should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
