Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Brown (ranked 3310 p4p, 2746 weight class) and Kazuya Mishima (ranked 415 p4p, 363 weight class). Mishima has chosen Techno Syndrome Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kazuya Mishima!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mishima tries a low kick but Brown avoids it.
Mishima misses with a body punch
and Brown counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mishima thinking.
Brown stuns Mishima with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Brown lands a jab.
Brown digs a good body shot into Mishima's ribs.
Brown throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mishima stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Brown thumps Mishima with a low kick.
Brown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mishima.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mishima has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Mishima misses with a straight right.
It looked like Brown wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mishima fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mishima takes a swing at Brown's ribcage but misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mishima.
Brown lands a right hook to the body.

Brown throws a solid leg kick but Mishima takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Brown.
Brown lands a glancing blow to the side of Mishima's head.

Brown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mishima throws out the jab.
Brown pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Brown misses with a hook. Mishima ducked under it nicely.

Brown lands a nice hook to Mishima's body. Mishima takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Brown throws a right and a left that Mishima avoids nicely.
Mishima looks like he wants to counter punch here.

John Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brown throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown lands with an uppercut that bounces Mishima off the cage and back into range.

Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mishima moves away.
Nice body punch from Brown.
Brown's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mishima connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Brown scrambles back to his feet.
Brown looks to land a combination. Mishima sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mishima moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brown throws a series of strikes that have Mishima backpedaling.

Mishima throws a hook to the side of Brown's head but Brown sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brown misses with a body shot
and Mishima counters with a straight right hand.
Brown lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A combination from Brown does no damage.
Brown tries a low kick but Mishima avoids it.
Brown drops his hands momentarily and Mishima takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mishima takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Brown jabs Mishima to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Brown misses with a combination
and Mishima counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Brown dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Brown will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A little jabbing left from Mishima on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mishima looks to land a right hand but Brown moved out of range.
Brown appears to be looking for a big counter.
Brown is looking to wear down Mishima with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brown misses with a combination
and Mishima counters with a series of strikes. Brown will be more careful next time no doubt.
A low kick from Mishima is predictable there
enabling Brown to counter with a crisp jab.
Brown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mishima.
It looks like Brown has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Mishima takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Brown throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mishima avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mishima uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brown.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mishima crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brown - the referee stops the clock and Mishima gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brown. Mishima manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Mishima lands a big head kick that sends Brown tumbling to the mat! Mishima takes a step backwards and waves Brown back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Brown is rocked!
It looks like John Brown has been cut.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Brown. Mishima shrugs it off though.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brown looks up at the clock. Bad move! Mishima lands a right hand from hell, dropping Brown. Mishima pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kazuya Mishima!
After the fight, Kazuya Mishima was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
