Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Ryan (ranked 4193 p4p, 24482 weight class) and Chris Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Ryan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson shoots in for a double leg but Ryan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ryan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Wilson gets the takedown into side control.

Ryan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
A lazy left from Ryan finds it's target.

Wilson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wilson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ryan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Wilson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ryan is defending well.

Ryan pulls Wilson in close to his closed guard and prevents Wilson from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ryan wants to hit a sweep here but Wilson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ryan there!

It looks like Wilson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Wilson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ryan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ryan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wilson is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Wilson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ryan wants to control but Wilson is having none of it.

Ryan is bucking up trying to escape but Wilson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Wilson wants to finish this one by submission but Ryan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wilson.
Ryan is breathing heavily.

Ryan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ryan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wilson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Wilson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ryan has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Ryan is trying desperately to improve position.

Wilson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Ryan dives in and grabs Wilson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wilson pushes down on Ryan's head and hops out.
Wilson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ryan tries to sprawl out of it but Wilson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ryan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Wilson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ryan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wilson lands a nice short elbow.
Wilson is taking a breather. Ryan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Wilson stands up out of the half guard.

Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.
Ryan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ryan moves in looking to clinch but Wilson pushes him off.
Wilson with the counter takedown but Ryan avoids it easily.

Wilson shoots in and bounces Ryan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ryan is trying to maintain the position but Wilson is very close to passing his half guard.
Wilson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Chris Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Wilson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wilson has managed to get both his arms back between Ryan's legs - danger averted.
Ryan wants to sweep but no luck.
Wilson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ryan wants to stand and escape but Wilson is having none of it.

Ryan is looking for a sweep. Wilson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ryan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wilson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Ryan is trying to get back to half guard.
Ryan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilson on the ground.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ryan is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wilson dives into side control.

I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
