PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Jackson (ranked 4371 p4p, 4071 weight class) and Tadeusz Nowicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tadeusz Nowicki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Nowicki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nowicki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Nowicki shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nowicki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Nowicki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Nowicki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nowicki tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nowicki to the ground. Nowicki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

I would just about give that final round to Tadeusz Nowicki.
Well Nowicki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
