Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derrick Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Wiener!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiener throws a head kick that misses.
Lewis is looking to counter punch.
Lewis blocks the body kick.
Wiener pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lewis manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wiener on his heels. He'll look to pass Wiener's guard now, I'm sure.
Lewis forces his way into half guard.
Wiener is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lewis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wiener won't allow Lewis to pass to mount.

Lewis tries to counter with a takedown but Wiener is quick to defend against it.

Lewis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wiener is just riding it out for now. Lewis eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wiener is looking to escape.
Lewis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Lewis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wiener has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wiener looks like he's trying to stand up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lewis tries for a kimura but Wiener is defending well.
Wiener is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lewis has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Wiener is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Derrick Lewis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lewis wants to take Wiener's back here but Wiener is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Wiener is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wiener is looking to escape.
Wiener's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Lewis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lewis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wiener can do to turn this around?

Lewis takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Lewis is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wiener has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Lewis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Wiener defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Lewis has gone for a leg lock! Wiener slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lewis's guard.

Lewis is looking for a triangle but Wiener pushes his legs off easily.

Lewis is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Wiener rolls with it to try and escape but Lewis cranks on the arm and Wiener is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
