Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Rambone!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots in but no luck this time.
Santos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Santos wants to clinch.
Rambone misses with a wild body shot.
Rambone connects with a jab.
Santos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Santos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rambone fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Santos shoots in for a takedown but Rambone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Santos tries to pull guard but Rambone holds him up against the cage and eventually Santos drops back down to his feet.
Rambone is pressed up against the cage. Santos has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rambone down to the mat. Rambone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rambone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Santos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Santos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rambone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Santos stands up and beckons Rambone to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rambone displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Rambone gets tackled into the cage by Santos. Santos maintains the clinch.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Rambone.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rambone.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rambone walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rambone misses with a series of wild punches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

John Rambone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

John Rambone is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rambone paws at him with a jab and circles away.

John Rambone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rambone winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
