PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Slytherin (ranked 4263 p4p, 5028 weight class) and Achilles Peleus (ranked 503 p4p, 533 weight class). Achilles Peleus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peleus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Slytherin swings for the body but Peleus moves out of range.
No joy there for Slytherin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Peleus counters with a stiff right hand.
Slytherin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slytherin.

It looks like Achilles Peleus has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peleus unleashes a big counter combination but Slytherin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Slytherin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Peleus eats them both and turns towards Slytherin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Peleus gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Slytherin gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Peleus is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

After the fight, Simon Slytherin was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
