Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dante Fowler (ranked 4691 p4p, 3512 weight class) and Eric Traub (ranked 522 p4p, 441 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler tries to clinch but Traub is having none of it.
Eric Traub seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Traub changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A big left from Traub misses.
Fowler is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fowler blocks the body kick.
Fowler tries to close the distance and clinch but Traub swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Traub has managed to clinch.
Traub lands a hook that snaps the head of Fowler backwards.
A short uppercut from Traub.
Fowler tries to work over Traub's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Fowler takes a shot to the head.

It looks like Dante Fowler has been cut.
Fowler scores with a nice hook to the head.
Fowler tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Traub's elbow.
Traub is pressed up against the cage. Fowler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Traub down to the mat. Traub avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Traub cracks Fowler with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Fowler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fowler walks into a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fowler checks the leg kick.
Fowler tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Traub manages to circle out of the way.
Fowler looks to throw the jab but Traub is out of range.
Traub scores with a kick to the body.
Traub lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fowler takes a step back to recover.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Traub throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fowler drops his hands momentarily and Traub takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fowler moves in looking to clinch but Traub pushes him off.
Fowler throws a combination. Traub tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Traub lands a jab to Fowler's midsection.
Fowler slips a straight right by Traub.
Traub fakes the leg kick and cracks Fowler in the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Traub.
Traub fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Traub closes the distance and clinches.

Traub is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fowler can't fight it off and eventually Traub manages to take the fight to the floor. Fowler looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Traub is working Fowler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fowler is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Traub frees his head nicely. Oh but Fowler has switched to an armbar! Traub is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
