PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cam The Can Crusher (ranked 3450 p4p, 4217 weight class) and Hito Ikeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cam The Can Crusher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hito Ikeda !
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikeda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Can Crusher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The Can Crusher swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ikeda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The Can Crusher lands a slapping body shot.
Ikeda 's jab looks to have found its range, popping The Can Crusher under the eye.
The Can Crusher throws a series of punches but Ikeda avoids them all with ease.
Ikeda scores with a nice strike.
Ikeda fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ikeda shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The Can Crusher swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

It looks like Ikeda might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Ikeda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
