Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Barkley (ranked 1193 p4p, 879 weight class) and Andor Kovacs (ranked 168 p4p, 128 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Barkley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Andor Kovacs! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovacs looks to score with a jab to the body but Barkley is just out of range. Barkley feinted there with a counter leg kick. Barkley bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Barkley checks the leg kick. Kovacs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barkley moves away. Kovacs swinging wildly here.
Barkley appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. We've been informed that Kovacs has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kovacs tries to land a front kick but Barkley steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Barkley tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kovacs manages to circle out of the way. Kovacs throws a head kick that misses. Kovacs moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've been told by Barkley's head coaches at Primal Concrete Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kovacs lands with a kick to the ribs.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A head kick misses from Kovacs. Barkley throws a solid leg kick but Kovacs takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barkley. Kovacs connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kovacs scores with a body shot.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kovacs lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kovacs attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Kovacs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kovacs on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Barkley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Barkley lands a glancing blow to the side of Kovacs's head. Andor Kovacs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kovacs lands with a nice body punch. Kovacs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barkley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kovacs misses the body punch and Barkley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kovacs thinking. Barkley is looking to wear down Kovacs with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kovacs throws a front kick aimed at Barkley's knee but Barkley avoids it well. A punch combination from Kovacs misses. Barkley is looking to counter with a body kick.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kovacs will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Barkley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Kovacs avoids the body shot from Barkley.

 Kovacs is rocked! Kovacs throws a jab when Barkley was well out of range. Barkley looks to land a body kick but Kovacs moved away. Barkley drops Kovacs with a big left hand! Kovacs is injured, injured bad! Barkley jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Barkley! Our winner, Nick Barkley, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
