Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Der Hund (ranked 5582 p4p, 4283 weight class) and Rian Alcorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hund comes to the cage accompanied by Dogs of War. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Der Hund!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rian Alcorn!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcorn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Der Hund has been cut.
Hund tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alcorn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hund tries to keep at a distance but Alcorn has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hund.

Hund breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hund looks for a takedown but Alcorn sprawls well.

Alcorn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hund is looking to get back to full guard here but Alcorn has managed to pass to side control instead.
Alcorn in side control lands a decent elbow.
Hund on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hund tries to get out of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alcorn tries to stand but Hund is controlling his head.
Hund is looking for a sweep.
Alcorn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hund seems a little lost for a moment, as Alcorn dominates the positioning.

Alcorn is working to tighten his grip on Hund's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hund has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alcorn is really squeezing tight and eventually Hund passes out! Alcorn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
