Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Palacios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean McNamara!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNamara clinches up with Palacios and pushes him back against the cage.
McNamara wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Palacios is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McNamara pulls him back up using the underhooks.

McNamara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McNamara throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Palacios scores a takedown into full mount!

Palacios jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McNamara manages to avoid the submission attempt.
McNamara is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Palacios is trying to get an arm triangle but McNamara is defending well.
Palacios prevents McNamara from escaping the position.

Palacios stands up and beckons McNamara to his feet.
Palacios shoots in for a takedown but McNamara shows good takedown defense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Palacios gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.


It looks like Steve Palacios has been cut.
McNamara wants to clinch.
McNamara swinging wilding here.
McNamara moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Palacios is breathing heavily.
McNamara fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.


Palacios is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown by Palacios or perhaps it was just good defense by McNamara which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Palacios. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McNamara with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

McNamara moves into the clinch.
McNamara has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Palacios is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Palacios keeps control of McNamara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

McNamara breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McNamara lands with a big left! Palacios is wobbled badly! McNamara comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Palacios to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sean McNamara!
