The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ogden fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. jaa sprawls well initially but Ogden persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
jaa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ogden is working away from the top position though.
jaa tries to roll over but Ogden keeps him under control.
jaa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
jaa is trying to control but can't.
Ogden prevents jaa from standing back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ogden throws a wild body kick that jaa sees coming a mile off.
jaa thows a body kick. Ogden tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ogden throws a sloppy head kick and jaa moves out of range easily.

David Ogden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

jaa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ogden defends it nicely.

Ogden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but jaa manages to avoid it.

jaa with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
jaa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ogden gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ogden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

jaa is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ogden is defending well for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

jaa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ogden as he jumps to the side.

Ogden drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
jaa pushes Ogden away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ogden gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
