PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Chol (ranked 4223 p4p, 4203 weight class) and Nick The Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick The Boxer!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chol takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The Boxer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Chol forces The Boxer back against the cage and clinches.

Chol breaks the clinch.
The Boxer stuffs the takedown attempt from Chol. Chol gets slowly back to his feet.
Miguel Chol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chol gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The Boxer has a couple of punches blocked by Chol.

Chol pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chol drives through and clinches with The Boxer against the cage.
Chol is trying to pull guard but The Boxer has him pressed against the cage.

Chol jumps guard and drags The Boxer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Chol has The Boxer pulled in close to control his posture.
The Boxer wanted to stand there but Chol had control of the position.

Chol is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. The Boxer is aware though and is defending well.
The Boxer wants to control from the top but Chol keeps moving.
The Boxer is looking to advance position but Chol has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Chol with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Chol drives through and clinches with The Boxer against the cage.

Chol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Boxer tries to avoid it but Chol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Boxer to the ground. The Boxer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Chol. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chol will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The Boxer scores with a jab.

The Boxer lands with a nice combination. Chol backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Miguel Chol has been cut.
Chol misses with a takedown attempt - The Boxer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The Boxer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The Boxer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Chol backs up against the cage.
The Boxer misses with the combination.
Chol shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chol wants to clinch up but The Boxer keeps it at a distance.
The Boxer is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Chol drives through with a takedown into The Boxer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

and The Boxer counters with a two punch combo.

The Boxer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chol is rocked!
The Boxer throws an overhand right that drops Chol like a sack of potatoes! The Boxer dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
