The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura looks to land a combination but La De Hoya avoids it well.
La De Hoya tried to counter with a leg kick but Kimura avoided it.
Kimura looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
La De Hoya connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kimura momentarily.
Kimura throws a body punch but La De Hoya moves out of range.

La De Hoya drops Kimura on his ass with a big knee up the middle! Kimura bounces straight back to his feet before the referee can even start a count. We'll have to wait a moment to see if that actually hurt him or not, as he takes the standing 8 count.

La De Hoya stuns Kimura with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

La De Hoya forces Kimura back against the ropes and clinches.
La De Hoya lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kimura backwards.
La De Hoya unloads a knee to the mid-section.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
La De Hoya lands an uppercut.
La De Hoya breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Kimura with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Kimura looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Kimura get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? No, he's flopped back to the mat - he's out - this one is all over!
