Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Silva (ranked 3180 p4p, 3065 weight class) and Desi Kraag (ranked 442 p4p, 123 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Desi Kraag enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desi Kraag!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a swing at Kraag's ribcage but misses.
Good exchange - Silva coming out on top.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Kraag is just out of range.
Silva seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Kraag misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva lands a nice hook to Kraag's body. Kraag takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kraag closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Silva swings for the body but Kraag moves out of range.

and Kraag counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Silva changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kraag down.

A lull in the action here as Silva stalls from top position.

Silva is looking to take a break and control but Kraag is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kraag is working to avoid the ground and pound but Silva connects with a decent elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Silva wants to control but Kraag is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Silva will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Kraag has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kraag has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Silva is sitting in close to Kraag's body. Kraag has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silva is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silva is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kraag.
