Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody White!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Donk. White catches Edwards right on the button with a cross.

White has taken the fight to the clinch.
Edwards has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. White is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White lands an overhand right.

White has managed to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right hand to the body from White.

White breaks the clinch.

White clinches up against the cage.
White lands with a left to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Edwards being controlled against the cage.
White scores with a hook to the body.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

White fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Edwards, pushing him back against the cage.
White has Edwards pressed against the cage.
White scores with a shoulder strike.
Edwards is looking for a takedown up against the cage. White gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
White holding his opponent close, against the cage.
White is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Edwards. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Edwards is working for takedown but White is calmly controlling the position for now.
Edwards is breathing heavily.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as White takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
White lands with a left to the head.

Edwards really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
White lands an elbow that stopped Edwards in his tracks for a moment.
Oh Edwards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Edwards tries to keep at a distance but White has taken the fight into the clinch.
White lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Edwards to his knees! White keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody White!
After the fight, Cody White was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
