PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jonhson (ranked 5934 p4p, 4013 weight class) and Bob Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Killer has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Bob Killer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jonhson finds it's way round the side to connect with Killer's head.
Jonhson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jonhson misses with a shot to the body

and Killer moves into the clinch.
Killer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jonhson prevents it.
Killer prevents Jonhson from breaking the clinch.
Jonhson is trying to break the clinch but Killer has him pressed against the cage.

Jonhson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Killer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jonhson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Jon Jonhson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Killer.
Killer looks winded!
Jonhson lands a really nice looking cross but Killer seems unphased.

Jonhson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jonhson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Killer tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Jonhson to counter with a crisp jab.
Jonhson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Killer under the eye.
Jonhson connects with the punch.

Killer is rocked!
Killer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Jonhson lands with a good body shot.
Killer takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jonhson lands a jab to Killer's midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Killer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Killer is still on wobbly legs! Can Jonhson finish him?

Jonhson cracks Killer with a hook to the temple - Killer is on wobbly legs here! Jonhson swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Killer falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jonhson wins by TKO!
