The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sirra sprawls well initially but Jackman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sirra won't allow Jackman to pass to mount.
Jackman frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jackman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Sirra keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Jackman thows a body kick. Sirra tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Jackman trying to control the position from guard on top but Sirra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sirra wants to sweep here but Jackman controlling him for the moment.
Sirra wants to stand and escape but Jackman is having none of it.

Sirra is looking to stand up but Jackman isn't so interested in that idea.
Sirra is trying to keep Jackman in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sirra.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jackman.
Sirra darts in trying to clinch
and Jackman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Jackman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sirra's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vel Sirra. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sirra is looking for a triangle but Jackman pushes his legs off easily.
Sirra manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackman manages to get himself to full guard.

Jackman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sirra.
Sirra tries to clinch but Jackman moves away
and Jackman counters with a straight right hand.
Oh Sirra is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sirra tries for a takedown but Jackman circles away easily

and Jackman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sirra's guard now.
Jackman trying to control but Sirra is working from the bottom.

Jackman decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jackman gets the takedown into side control.
Jackman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sirra. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sirra manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Sirra seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sirra looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Huge Jackman dominated that round.

Jackman is sitting in close to Sirra's body. Sirra has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Jackman is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Jackman is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sirra.
