Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Boner (ranked 4029 p4p, 3269 weight class) and Kazuya Mishima (ranked 497 p4p, 417 weight class). Mishima has chosen Techno Syndrome Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boner shoots in and gets a takedown into Mishima's guard.
Boner throws an elbow that misses. Mishima uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Boner's guard. Nice move by Mishima!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mishima working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Mishima is working Boner over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Boner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mishima's guard.

Boner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Boner connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mishima some visible discomfort.
Boner definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Boner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
