Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Weeks Danielle (ranked 4294 p4p, 4370 weight class) and Ricky Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 430 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danielle tries to move into range but Chan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ricky Chan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chan connects with a solid leg kick.
Chan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Danielle walks into a stiff left hand from Chan.

Chan darts in and clinches Danielle up against the cage.
Danielle is stalling here.
Chan can't find room to land a body shot as Danielle controls the action.

Danielle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chan pushes Danielle up against the cage in a clinch.
Chan tries to break free but Danielle pushes him back against the cage.
Danielle tries to score a body lock takedown but Chan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Danielle wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nice body punch from Chan - that landed with a thud.
Danielle looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Danielle as Chan tries to tie him up.
Chan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Chan lands with a left to the head.

Chan breaks from the clinch.

Chan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Danielle, pushing him back against the cage.
Chan is trying to maintain a safe position but Danielle gets an underhook and turns Chan into the cage.
Danielle blocks a body shot from Chan.
Chan lands with a short shot to the head.
Chan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Danielle jumps guard and drags Chan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Danielle pulls Chan in to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chan trying to control but Danielle is working from the bottom.
Danielle has Chan pulled in close to control his posture.
Chan tries to free his leg and advance position but Danielle is retaining full guard.
Danielle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chan's guard.

Chan can't keep his opponent in guard - Danielle advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Chan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Chan trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Danielle takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Chan looks winded!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Danielle controlling the positon.
Danielle has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Chan.

Danielle is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Chan with him. Chan is trying to defend but Danielle has an arm under the chin now! Chan grimaces and is forced to tap out!
