Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Valen Dreth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Anni Skystalker!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dreth is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Skystalker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dreth has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Skystalker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dreth swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Dreth gets caught napping as Skystalker dives in and scores a takedown. Dreth manages to retain guard.
Dreth keeping moving, preventing Skystalker from controlling successfully.
Skystalker has gone for a leg lock! Dreth slips out almost immediately though and dives into Skystalker's guard.
Skystalker looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Dreth is defending well. Skystalker quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Dreth has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Skystalker celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Anni Skystalker!
A very excited looking Anni Skystalker rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
