Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacek Placek (ranked 4307 p4p, 4293 weight class) and Mick Percival (ranked 0 p4p, 154 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Percival!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Placek shoots in and bounces Percival off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Placek trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Percival lands a good elbow from the bottom.
Percival looking for a sweep. Not yet Percival, not yet.
Placek working some strikes from top position.
Percival has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Placek is in close to Percival's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Percival works to advance to full mount. Placek defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Placek is in a horrible position here. Percival smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Percival fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Placek could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Percival is stalling here. Placek is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Percival seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Placek has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Percival is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Percival controlling the position for now.
Percival has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Placek is working away from the top position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Percival can do anything to dispel that myth.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Percival holds on and takes a little breather.

Percival lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Mick Percival showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Placek's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
