Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lindsay Apollo (ranked 256 p4p, 461 weight class) and Luiz Mendoza (ranked 32 p4p, 56 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lindsay Apollo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Luiz Mendoza!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apollo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lindsay Apollo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Apollo loads up on a big right hand but Mendoza slips the punch.
Apollo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mendoza moves away.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mendoza working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

I was talking to Apollo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Luiz Mendoza tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
