Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dong Labelle (ranked 1843 p4p, 2833 weight class) and Alex Pereira (ranked 240 p4p, 357 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pereira's choice of entrance music: 50 Cent - Many Man. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dong Labelle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Labelle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Labelle takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Labelle slips under a jab from Pereira.
Pereira closes the distance but Labelle moves to the side
and Labelle counters with a series of strikes. Pereira will be more careful next time no doubt.
Pereira takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pereira throws a head kick that Labelle semi-blocks.
Pereira looks to clinch
and Labelle counters with a nice uppercut.
Pereira misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Labelle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pereira swings widly with a right hand
and Labelle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Pereira tries to clinch there but Labelle circles away.
Pereira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pereira throws a head kick but Labelle moves out of range.
It looked like Labelle was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Labelle scores with a sloppy right hand. Pereira should have avoided that one.
Pereira misses with a hook
and Labelle counters with a three punch combo that has Pereira backing up. Pereira nods at Labelle to acknowledge the strikes.
Labelle misses the body punch
and Pereira connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Labelle lands with a shot to the body.
Pereira throws a head kick that half lands.
Pereira lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Pereira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Labelle connects with a right hand. Pereira shakes it off.

Pereira moves away from the strike by Labelle.
Pereira throws a low kick but Labelle avoids it.
Pereira fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pereira takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've been told by Labelle's head coaches at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Pereira is looking to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Labelle on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Good shot there by Labelle.
Pereira tries to clinch up.
Labelle is looking for a counter combo.
Pereira is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pereira throws a head kick but Labelle moves out of range.
Pereira moves forwards but Labelle connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Labelle jabs Pereira right on the nose. Pereira blinks but takes it well.

Labelle misses with a few strikes there.
Pereira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Labelle just misses with a punch to the body.
Pereira lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Labelle throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pereira sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pereira is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Labelle throws a series of punches but Pereira avoids them all with ease.
Pereira throws a lazy uppercut
and Labelle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pereira tries to clinch up but Labelle circles away and keeps his distance.
Labelle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Pereira lunges at Labelle with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Labelle's hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Labelle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pereira moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A nice side step and Pereira releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Labelle moves into range and connects with a jab.
Labelle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pereira falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Labelle counter with a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pereira misses with a head kick.
Pereira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Labelle takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Labelle lands with a nice combination. Pereira backs away looking to recover.
Labelle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dong Labelle dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Labelle throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Pereira stumbling backwards into the cage! Pereira bounces back off the cage towards Labelle, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Labelle lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Labelle celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dong Labelle!
Dong Labelle was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
