Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jota Be (ranked 1834 p4p, 1246 weight class) and Brendan Baddock (ranked 224 p4p, 47 weight class). Brendan Baddock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jota Be!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Baddock!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Be defending well as Baddock loads up on a big left hand.
Baddock uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Be.
An inside leg kick from Be misses.
Brendan Baddock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baddock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baddock throws a series of punches but Be moves out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Be. That snapped Baddock's head back.

It looks like Brendan Baddock has been cut.
Baddock looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Be's corner calls for a 1-2. Be obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Be blocks a head kick by Baddock.
Be avoids the head kick by Baddock.
Baddock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Baddock lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Jota Be has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Be feints a jab promting Baddock to slip. Be then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Baddock slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Baddock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Be appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Baddock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baddock looks winded!
Be tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Baddock was well out of range. Poor timing from Be.

Baddock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Baddock tries to bum rush Be with a series of wild strikes but Be uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A combination from Baddock does no damage.
Be was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Be drops Baddock with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Baddock looks back up at him and smiles so Be waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Baddock is rocked!

That has opened up Brendan Baddock's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Be cracks Baddock with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Baddock is still on wobbly legs! Can Be finish him?
Be lands a nice shot that snaps Baddock's head back.

The cut above Brendan Baddock's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Be thumps Baddock with a low kick.
Baddock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Baddock seems to have recovered his senses.
Baddock throws a sloppy head kick and Be moves out of range easily.
Be takes a swing at Baddock's ribcage but misses.

Be tests Baddock's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Baddock misses with a straight right.
Be throws a hook but Baddock avoids it easily.
Baddock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Be.
Baddock tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Be swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Baddock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Be swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Baddock! But no joy.

and Be counters with a crisp one two that drops Baddock! Be thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Baddock to his feet! Baddock is in big trouble!

Be misses with a looping left.
Be throws a jab but it's blocked by Baddock.
Be does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A cross from Be lands.

Brendan Baddock's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Nice body punch from Be.

Be throws the left hand but Baddock avoids the punch easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Baddock finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
