Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Goncalves (ranked 752 p4p, 689 weight class) and Apophis Kalmisto (ranked 91 p4p, 81 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Goncalves. Beautiful body shot.
Goncalves lands a nice shot to the body.
Goncalves lands a leg kick that knocks Kalmisto off balance momentarily.

Kalmisto gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Goncalves has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Chuckles Strenght and Conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kalmisto jabs Goncalves right on the nose. Goncalves blinks but takes it well.
Oh Goncalves is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Goncalves misses with a looping left.

Goncalves looks to land a combination but Kalmisto avoids it well.

Goncalves wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kalmisto has him pressed against the cage.

Kalmisto tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Kalmisto lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kalmisto lands with a right to the head.
Goncalves breaks from the clinch.
Goncalves misses with a double jab
and Kalmisto counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Goncalves has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Apophis Kalmisto!
Our winner, Apophis Kalmisto, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
