Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ed Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Bjj Catch Wrestler!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Catch Wrestler finds it's way through Ford's defenses.

Ford gets caught napping as Catch Wrestler dives in and scores a takedown. Ford manages to retain guard.
Ford wants to stand but Catch Wrestler is controlling the position.
Ford pulls Catch Wrestler in to control the position.
Catch Wrestler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Catch Wrestler trying to control the position from guard on top but Ford is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Catch Wrestler postures up in Ford's guard and throws a big left but Ford blocks it.
Catch Wrestler is looking to work some ground and pound but Ford has wrist control.
Ford controlling the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Catch Wrestler trying to control but Ford is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Catch Wrestler misses the body punch
and Ford cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ed Ford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Catch Wrestler is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Ford with a body shot.

Ford moves away from the strike by Catch Wrestler.
Ford stuffs the takedown attempt from Catch Wrestler. Catch Wrestler gets slowly back to his feet.

Ford gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Catch Wrestler to score an easy takedown into full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Catch Wrestler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ford wants to stand but Catch Wrestler is controlling the position.
Ford preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Catch Wrestler scoring with punches to the head and body.
Catch Wrestler is pushing down on Ford's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ford is fighting to maintain full guard but Catch Wrestler has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ford is trying to stand back up but Catch Wrestler is controlling him
Catch Wrestler trying to control from half guard but Ford is working away.
Ford looks like he's trying to stand up.
Catch Wrestler is looking to take a break and control but Ford is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ford wants to get back to his feet.
Catch Wrestler throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Catch Wrestler wants to pass the guard but Ford is defending well.
Catch Wrestler is trying to control the action in half guard but Ford is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ford wants to get back to his feet.

Ford manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Ford will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Catch Wrestler throws a jab but it's blocked by Ford.
Catch Wrestler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ford connects with a nice looking jab.
Catch Wrestler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ford.
Catch Wrestler lands a really nice looking cross but Ford seems unphased.
Ford misses with a head kick.
Ford throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ford dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Catch Wrestler throws a right and a left that both miss.
Catch Wrestler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ford has time to react.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Catch Wrestler throws a one two combo.
Catch Wrestler checks a low kick from Ford.
Ford tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Catch Wrestler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And Catch Wrestler tries to counter it with a takedown but Ford pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Ford throws a leg kick which misses Catch Wrestler's front leg but catches the back leg as Catch Wrestler tries to avoid it.

Catch Wrestler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ford is trying to defend but Catch Wrestler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Catch Wrestler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Catch Wrestler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ford does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ford wants to improve his position but Catch Wrestler is controlling well.
Ford controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Catch Wrestler prevents Ford from standing back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bjj Catch Wrestler will probably get the nod.

Ford lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Catch Wrestler at a distance.

Ford fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Catch Wrestler on the side of the head.
Ford ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ford takes one on the button.

Catch Wrestler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Catch Wrestler throws out a powerful jab.
Ford slips under a jab from Catch Wrestler.
Catch Wrestler misses with a looping left.
Catch Wrestler shoots and misses
and Ford counters with a head kick. That will keep Catch Wrestler thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Ed Ford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Catch Wrestler.

Catch Wrestler blocks a jab.
Ford is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Catch Wrestler like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Catch Wrestler from another fist facial!
