Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pepetinho Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierce Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez forces Freeman back against the cage and clinches.

Perez jumps guard.
Perez pulls Freeman in close to prevent any damage.
Freeman trying to control the position from guard on top but Perez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Freeman is fighting to break Perez's control of his arms but Perez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Perez manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Freeman's coach down at Canucks Combat Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Freeman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Freeman is defending well.

Freeman doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Freeman tries a body shot but Perez blocks it.

Perez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Perez tries to clinch but Freeman is having none of it.
Perez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Freeman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Freeman misses with a body shot.
Freeman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Perez looks to clinch
letting Freeman counter with a right hand.
Perez tries to clinch there but Freeman circles away.
Freeman bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Freeman counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Freeman with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Perez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Freeman.
Perez thinks about countering with a head kick.
Perez's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Freeman connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Perez scrambles back to his feet.
Perez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perez takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Freeman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Perez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Freeman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Perez moves to clinch but Freeman breaks away
and Freeman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Perez is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Freeman punishes Perez's body with a nice straight punch.
Perez is breathing heavily.
Perez drops his hands for a split second and Freeman immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Perez face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Freeman follows up with a right hand that knocks Perez into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
