These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Abner. Billingsly does a little dance to reset his feet.
Abner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Abner throws a head kick that misses.
Billingsly let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Abner throws a nice looking combination but Billingsly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Abner cracks Billingsly with a right hand to the side of the head.
Abner throws a sloppy head kick and Billingsly moves out of range easily.
Billingsly is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Abner with a body shot.
Billingsly throws a series of punches but Abner avoids them all with ease.
Abner takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Abner's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Billingsly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Abner scrambles back to his feet.
Chad Billingsly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Abner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Billingsly makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Billingsly ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Abner throws a head kick that misses
and Billingsly counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Billingsly connects with a body shot.
Billingsly scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Uncle Abner's cut is getting worse.
Billingsly changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Billingsly throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Billingsly lands a glancing blow to the side of Abner's head.
Billingsly digs a good body shot into Abner's ribs.

Billingsly sends Abner crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Billingsly is motioning to the referee to let Abner up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Abner is rocked!
Billingsly cracks Abner on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Abner falls backwards against the cage. Billingsly follows up with more strikes that drop Abner to his knees. Billingsly keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Abner! This one is all over!

Chad Billingsly really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Dick Dolla Douchebag logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
