Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sanka Aisland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeremias Furtwangler!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Furtwangler.
Aisland fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Furtwangler misses.
Aisland throws a big counter combination but Furtwangler scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Furtwangler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Furtwangler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aisland circles away quickly and effectively.
Aisland wants to clinch up but Furtwangler keeps it at a distance.
Furtwangler fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Furtwangler lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Sanka Aisland has been cut.

Aisland shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Furtwangler's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Aisland is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Aisland trying to stand up but can't free himself from Furtwangler's guard.
Aisland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Furtwangler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aisland controls the pace.

Furtwangler controlling the position.
Aisland works over Furtwangler with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Furtwangler working for submissions but it's allowed Aisland to get to half guard.
Aisland is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Furtwangler can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aisland is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Furtwangler is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
